Why are we doing this?

Why are some links red (orange)?

Red links are placeholders that point to articles that don't yet exist on the wiki. If you are logged in, the page will automatically open in edit mode, ready for you to add content.

How do I add to/update an article?

You may browse and read any article on the iPublic site. In order to update or add content, you must first create an account.

How do I create an account?

Click Login / create account at top of page. Click the Create an account link and supply a username, password and valid email address.

What software powers the iPublic.org site?

iPublic.org is possible thanks to open source software. Servers run CentOS Linux operating system (see Install a collaborative wiki for setup information) and Apache web server.

MediaWiki running on [ MySQL] database provides the collaborative web-based editing environment. MediaWiki extensions and configuration are listed in the Customize Mediawiki article.
